JASRA Repeater Maintenance and Repair

 i receive a call from 9W2BUG ... saying that JASRA repeater is down

(Jalur Selatan Radio Amateur Johor) since i'm a tukang sibuk ...

i quickly close my office and rush to the scene ...

we climbed up the tower ...

 WTF !!!!  repeater antenna F%$#ED by lightning !

where is the other half ????

bloody hell it was down there .. so our friend 9W2AAC

climb down the ladder and collect the carcass ..

 WTF ... lightning arrestor .. sleeping kaa ???

 it's a bird, no.... it's a plane .. hell no it's Air Asia !!!

i wonder this is DIGI or CELCOM ...

 VHF and UHF terrestrial antenna

 look what have the lightning has done ....  charred fiberglass

bended copper wire ....

 this is not a charred antenna mind u .. this is Otak Otak ...

i'll blog about it next time.. anyway this is damn GOOD !

 for posing sake ... nothing to do with our repeater's antenna

 we finish our repair and maintennance ... lucky to have 9W2JOC

to bring us Iced lemon tea & the otak otak to call it a day ...
