Mulligans used to served these but due to unpopularity
they have stopped supplying ... so now i need to outsource
it myself ... ha ha ha

well this bottle of Gaymers is an alcoholic cider or hard cider
cider is pronounced as saider .... and it's tat bit different
cider that are used in the kitchen or use to bath ...

this cyder has undergone a degree of fermentation and
thus has a beerish taste like

it taste sweet, with light apple cyder taste and a punch
of beer ...

yah ... and that's bloody awesomely good !!!!

ok, it's bloody 4:30am now ... so i'll cut the crap and
you do you own reading on the label ...

Hoegaarden Bottles

Hoegaarden in a bottle ... we'll it sure taste
abit different then the drafts ...

the bottle has more kick... i think due to exporting
and storage calculation that they make it abit stronger
because in bottles, beers will be sold in shelves
and there is shelving life typically for beers ..
it's best to consume not more then 100 days
after it was bottle (locally brewed beers)
but typical imported beers has 360days shelving life ....

thus if my theory proves me right, bottles
beer might not be the freshest due to shelving
but extra ingredient are added to prolonged the
storage timeline ... thus the extra kick ....

beers in barrels are however best to consume
once open to tap withing 72 hours because due to
carbon dioxide (co2) agent present to push the beer
out of the tap ... it is a process of CO2 contamination
but dun fret ... that is just a scientific way of saying things

in layman terms .... not fresh after 72 hours ....
but still drinkable ... and i doubt not many can taste
the different even after 30days or even 60 days ....

you know ... majority of beer drinkers are out to get
high and drunk ...

what a sad story .. but truth always hurts hahahaha
i'm out to enjoy beer and to get to know more about em ....

my handphone rang .... it was an emergency ...

Tetley's has arrived !!! after week of just looking at the tap...

it's here this evening .... we'll the hell with the odd shape barrel ..

hahahahahhaha

a look at the pakaging ... oh ok ... it's made by Carlberg UK and

locally distributed by Carlberg marketing ...

close look at the seal ..... 

to know a bear not just by drinking it .. but by examine the packaging and

seal it also damn interesting ... that's what Bohausiaw is all about ...

of cos the state of emergency finally drew to an end

when i had the honor to taste the 1st pint out of the

newly installed machine and newly arrived from England

Tetley's English Ale .....

the rest is history ... just look at the head of the beer .....

do not judge solely by it's dark brow to dark reddish color

cos this is a very enjoying beer with just 3.6% proff

alchohol i can say the flavour is much lower then

Kilkenny though the taste is really very malty rather then hoppy...

or issit called caramel maltiness ...

rather sweet and mild toasty malt taste

the character of the beer would want me to refill and

refill till the pub closes it door ...

Budweiser or in short .. Bud is American best knowed brand

and many would think that Bud is a Pilsner but it's actually a Lager

made with rice as main ingredients instead of barley or corn

thus the light refreshing taste due to rice has lower contain of protein

amongst the regulars

Bud has the lightest taste of Lager beer comparing to locals Tiger beer
thus the nick name ladies fav beer ...
though with proff 5% it taste like it was merely 3.5%
what i can say ... it just taste better then Shandy ... ha ha ha ...

Bud is basically not American originated but Germans by the initial of

AB if you look right up the picture and AB stand for Adolphus Busch

and currently marketed by InBev ...

a moment i'm waiting for ... 

my long awaited Paulaner German famous beer

and made even famous by Oliver Kahn TV advetisement

year 2006 FIFA World Cup ...

my freind Mani-san has been bragging about Paulaner

and i was so tempted to try it out on my own ...

but what a freinds for .. so i posponed it and i waited

for him to be free and to enjoy a glass of Paulaner 

together ...

to our AMAZED !!!

this Paulaner Salvator taste we're so un-expected ..

very salpet lah bratherrr .......... !!!

we're expecting the best of the best german beer

as we just had a glass of Konig Ludgwig and

we're ready to do a A B comparison ...

to our suprised .. this Salvator ... a varient out

of 16 varient from Paulaner taste like

this bottle has been left open for a week ...

nosizzle ... no CO2 ... taste like a beer

that has loosen it's pressure ...

abit sweet after taste and very strong alchoholic taste

and smell like toffee ...

i'm not biased because my buddy was having the

same look as I am ... we're like ... *What the Fark!*

these paulaner taste like shit !!!!!

we had a hard time swallowing an expired beer

but we had a good laugh .. i wonder this Salvator

is mixed with marijuana because we can't 

stop laughing over our expectation 

....  really salpet !!!

anyway ... maybe the batch we got

was really expired ...

so adios it's 3:33am now ...

so hang in there ... i'll go investigate

further ...

Victoria Bitter

gooday mate !
here's Vic in short or Victoria Bitter in a 375ml bottle or
stubbies ... (a short neck glass bottle)

we'll my mate, in the picture ... Jeff show me the new stuff ..
so whatcha waiting for mate ..

so off i go ... poured on a straight shape glass ... because this
is a lager beer .. so that's the correct glass to drinkup with...

the taste is much different to those local brewed lager ...
less spicky (less CO2) and has some
fruity taste ... very smooth .. and not bitter though the name
it has a very strong kick though in the middle ...
it read 4.6 but the kick is like it's 8.4%proff bloody hell
hahahahahha

comparing with Tiger Beer.... Tiger has more body
but not as smooth as Vic ... Vic is smooth and has a very
distinctive characteristic ... maybe i need to have a few more
tubbies .. or maybe my next visit .. i'll do a AB test ..
a glass Tiger Beer and another Victoria Bitter ...
hahahahahah

for RM16 per tubbies ... it's hella affordable experience

now pouring at my fav Mulligans, permas jaya ...

beer is not listed .. so just ask for a Vic ...

Leffe Blonde

what can i say .... a beer a day keeps the doctors away ....

okay.. here's a fact ...

today i took a glass of Leffe Blonde.. pronouced as leff fer blanc
carefully sniffing the
aroma and tasting it .... of cos ... beer from the abbey
produce a very distinctive richly flavoured ales and that's why
the glasses came with the bottle ..

i gulp it up and slowly .. and tasting it carefully ....

i think ... i'm beginning to love this beer ....

it has a signature aroma and smells like it has been
brewed in an old red wine oak barrel ...
because come to think of it .. it smell like red wine....
but it taste of beer .... and you'll be catching up to get that
feel of aroma ....

i think it has cloves, banana and vanilla ...
and sure does goes with red meat and cheese ...
like a red bordeaux hahahahahahaha

i'm wondering any Leffe expert here that i can asked ..
if i need to swirl the beer like wine before i taste it ????

anyway ...

wow !!! surprisingly ... i'm really good at drinking and
telling the story of this typical variant of Leffe Blonde ...

we'll that's all i can remember ... so my next topic would be
Leffe Brune and Leffe Radieuse ... of cos that day i drank it,
but i was tat bit numb with Hoegaarden's lemonise taste...
i hardly got to read the characterictic of Leffe

i think ... after today's experience ... i might move from
my top 1 fav hoegaarden to leffe blonde ... why not ...
hehehehehehe it has more character then hoegaarden
for sure ...

the typical of Leffe beer glass that shaped of a chalice ...
and the bohausiaw URL .... knn really bohausiaw ok ...

Niang Tofu @ Ros Merah

i'm a regular here for like over 5 year now ...
the taste never run .... (boh beh zhau)

my regular are mee pok with the below....
1. red cayenne stuff with fish cake and deep fried, you can easily
skin off the chili's skin...
2. die die must try is their deep fried fish balls, the brownish color
that's their home made recepi ... it's a mix of vege, meat and fish..
3. wonton skin ... deep fried, very crunchy and taste equally good
4. the minced meat topping .... complement the whole serving ...

for the soup ... i bet it must be fish head base stock
and tofu stuffed fish cake and tofu skin stuff fish cake
err where is my fishball ??? maybe underneath the tofu skin

i tried the sentosa opposite shell station and the sentosa
market ones and also the melodies garden ....
nothing beat this one ...


overall ... 12/1o super overrated ... no choice ...
bloody nice food ... DIE DIE MUST TRY !!!

Leffe Belgium Beer

picture here is Leffe, pronounce as Leff-fur is a beer
from Belgium .. same country mates as Hoegaarden

Leffe has 7 different types and the type that i'm
having today is Leffe Radieuse and it's a proff 8.5%

we'll hmmmm i can't explain how the taste like
because i took a big gulp and only some left for the tasting

anyway ... dun fret ... i'll be back and i'll make sure
how it taste like hehehehehe

the distinctive taste of franziskaner is the
malty taste ... yummy...

Konig Ludwig

Konig Ludwig now serving everwhere in Johor Bahru
these beer is also called the Beer for the Royal Highness
and once served the Kingdom of Bavaria, Germany

so the next time you take a sip ... you better take a bow

FYI
the term Weissbier means this is a malted wheat replaced
over malted barley and this wheat beer are usually top fermented
if you don;t understand the above then it's time for a Konig !

Pontian Wanton Mee

 

 check it out ... now we can save the time and hassle

to travel to Pontian for their famous fried wanton

and wanton noodles because they are here @ Johor Jaya now !!

the secret recipe for Pontian Wanton Mee is the chili sauce

used ... it can bought at RM50 per 1 litre, so now any tom dick

or harry can make their own pontian wanton mee ... but i bet

there is more then meet the eyes ...

because i tried many hawker stall that sell pontian wanton mee

with that chili sauce ... but end up with different character

that mimic the original pontian wanton noodles ...

i put my 2 balls on the table and swear that this is the best
rojak petis in the world ... or maybe in Johor hehehehehe
don't tell me Muar Tanjong rojak .. it sucks .. after 20+
years of trying .. it really SUCKS BIG TIME ...

these however are the best of the BEST ...
to support my statement ... i bring more then 10 freinds
to try this stall ... 15 friends later confirmed that it is
the best so far they every eaten ...

the aroma of the petis source will definately brings ur back
for more .... what i know, the petis is brought fresh from Penang
12/10 ... yes .. exceed my rating gauge ....means
die die must try !!!!

FYI this stall is HALAL ...
