JASRA repeater's Valentine gift

this year, we celebrated St. Valentine's day

with a machine ... a repeater to be exact...

at 7:45am i was woken up by 9W2BUG Jaya to be on duty

as a tukang sibuk ... or in english ... a repairman hahahha

everthing was A OK when we're up there .... so Jaya starts

his troubleshooting on output and input signals...

finally he guesstimate that it has dry joint at the finals ...

the transmitting power circuits ...

so off he go ... stripping of the repeater ...

and ta daa ...... he's like repeater doctor now ...

because what he presume and assume is soooo....correct...

above the dry joint has built up due to wear and tear

and some PCB has been lifted up.....

so here i comes into picture ... hahahahaha

heng aa !!!

... i brough along my solder gun and solder... hahahaha

Jaya troubleshooting ...

our new friend Ansar ... getting a Happy Valentine's call
hehehehehe u see his smile u know laaa hahahahahha


me as usual .... trying to act buzy ... getting the exact
location of our repeater ... not only location but also
the height of the antenna .... not an easy task...
in fact ... the most demanding and dangerous task

i'm just less then 1 feet from the building's edge !
you know .... i'm standing at 114 meters above sea level...
that's about guesstimation of 30 story high ...

u say ... who's job toughest ? i should be rewarded rite ???

instead of just brushing off the dust ...
u saw the red brush above the cabinet ...

he go to the extreme to polish the whole cabinet ...
inside out ... top to bottom .... squecky clean ...
proclaiming his love of 5 years relationship with the cabinet
bla bla bla ..... bla bla bla i quicky moved my lens to Jaya
i got goosebump hearing it hahahahahaha

the problem has been rectified and been corrected ...
testing time .....

and i was rewarded handsomely as handsome as i do

as always ... duh ....

standing at 114 meters high .... memang henchem..

hahahahahahaha

that's my virgin's swr meter ...... if you dunno ....

putting into good use..... i wonder the reflected meter is

DOA (Dead On Arrival) hahahahahha

we wish not .... as we do not have spares nor energy

to climb down ....

Jaya re-arrange the repeater and now our DIY cavity

filter sits inside our newly polished cabinets ...

that'll bring many year more of excellent services ...

i wish to inform that our amateur radio friend

9W2PJR has left us on 13th February 2009

due to heart attack at about 2am @ Singapore

this was the last picture we took together as a team

actually ... it's not my 1st toy ... just that economy is soo bad ..

Port Dickson in my camera ...

the very very very early morning of 13th December

about 6am or so ... i seldom wakes up this #$% early

except for my hobby ... like ... Jota/Joti, or this event ..

ARRD 08 Port Dickson ... if you want to wake me up on

a regular day ... u need to ring my handphone .. because

that's what my customer do to wake me up to go to work

we stop by Lukut Town because we don't want to miss

any local chinese food ... i know lukut is famous for the

wonton noodles .. but i want to try something different today..

no joke the soup is so Herbal ... unlike Johor Bahru ..

this reminds me of Muar Bak Kut Teh ...... 9.5/10

same like the rest of the bak kut teh operator ...

die die need to have yew char kueh .... 8/10

not much stall sell yam rice ... actually yam fried with

dried shrimp with black soy souce and tiny slices of

shitake mushroom and some with long beans ... 7/10

i tried the best yam rice @ bukit pasir, you can eat it as it is

without the bak kut teh .. because it's really good tasting ...

slow cooked taufu .. not bad... also very herbally cooked 8/10

dried bak kut teh ... i tasted once down in KL...

now i tasted it again .... not bad 9/10

dip the bak kut with these .... wah piang .... melt sia.....

of cos after the bak kut teh session .. dun breath in front

of anybody .. the garlic fume will send you freind away ...

underneath below is the cili padi ... yah  not in the picture

because like i say ... underneath laaa ....

the ARRD 08 nite is without ...... BEER LAHH !!!

we had soo much fun travelling to PD, so much fun in

setting up our rigs, more much fun when we're out there

in the sun ... temp check was 36*C with close 90% humidity

(that's bloody makes me sweat like i never sweat before)

 setting up our G5RV antenna and the 2 directional VHF

and UHF yagi antenna on the rotator ..

hell i deserve at least 5 can of beer .... hahahahahhaha

i wish in Johor Bahru they sell these type of beer ....

FYI kingfisher are India No1 Beer ... so don't play play ok...

that's my vision after ... *lost count* of beer i had ...

Indian echnics ... look ... water springkler ... not bad ..

quite advance for this lil' kampung ...

check out the sign ... is the name of the stall called Halal

or they served Halal food ? .... hahahahaha i know the answer..

ask me lah ....

spot the unique-ness of this stall ...

since the stall mention they have the best wonton noodles..

so here's mine ... not bad .. but the char siew abit too tough...
