go for breakfast was .... Klang Bak Kut Teh ...
so my wish was granted ... my gf's lil sis bring us there ...

finally ... 33 years of waiting ... i'm here ... Klang Teluk Pulai
the so call birth of Bak Kut Teh ... a chinese herbs cooked with
pork's ribs and intestine ...

since i'm here ... i took all the angle of the shop hahahahahaha
t'was a long que there laaa ... so i go look here look there ...

even the famous Hong Kong celebrity was here ... no doubt must
be good ....

portable boiling water ever-ready for self refilling
... aren't cooking above gas tank dangerous ???

yah .. all self service ... i choose jasmine ...

 our entree ... 8/10

 these ... near tasteless ... 3/10

much awaited Klang famous Bak Kut Teh ....

9/10 ... maybe the herbs is too strong for me ...
or maybe last nite i drank too much hahahahahahah
but i love the meat because it's much tender .. just that the
herbs taste abit too thick ... the rest is OK ...
we'll ... different people has different taste bud ...

dudes,

Teluk Pulai is a place near Klang town, about 3km away. This place you visited is a branch of the original shop (which is of course in Teluk Pulai housing area).

I don't disagree with your reviews of the BKT there.

However, you've been had! The best BKT in Klang is found in Pandamaran area about 8km away from Klang town. These gems are usually shielded away from visitors (haha) and are meant for local consumption only.

BKT in JB are very much tweaked to suit the southern ppl's tastebuds which means less herbs, pepper (teochew style). BKT found in Klang is Hokkien style.

You should just treat these 2 types of BKT as separate dishes. :)

cheers

gooday klang boy,

thanks for the pointer that Teluk Pulai is near Klang town

and thanks for revealing the real LOCATION ha ha ha ... any particular name of the shop ? i'll be in KL maybe coming November ...

correct, JB BKT is a very much tweaked BKT but like i say ... it solely depends on each person taste bud ... both are still BKT .. just that diff flavoring and origins ..
